The FareCompare Grumpy Santa tour is off and running. I had to say goodbye to a trusted friend before we even left on our first flight. My good old Santa boots weren’t up for the trek.
They fit, but they had sprained ankle written all over them, and they left weird black marks on my socks, so Grumpy Santa has donned his old school Reeboks for the duration.
We made our first flight from Dallas to Little Rock, AK Arkansas. Little Rock is currently shrouded in fog, and that made for a very interesting/slightly terrifying landing. Looks like the fog is going to clear, so we should be able to head back to Texas and land in Houston before heading out to Jackson, Mississippi.
Quick Note: The Little Rock airport is great. Free WiFi, outlets to recharge your various electronics, and a volunteer group of greeters (The Angels) that are probably the nicest people I have ever met. Everyone with the TSA has been helpful, as well, which is great, because lugging equipment, computers, and a Santa suit through security is already proving to be kind of a nightmare. Look for video from Little Rock soon (it’s being edited at an airport Starbucks as we speak). I hope to check in at least once more today, but we’ll see how things go.
Stay Grumpy!

What’s on Grumpy Santa’s iTunes?Led Zeppelin 4 (the Runes Album). No better way to kick off a journey.
My, isn’t that flight attendant (ahem) helpful! Watch it, sister. Mrs. Claus is feisty…

Little Rock is in Arkansas, not Alaska! (Remember you cut Alaska and Hawaii out of the plans!)
