FareCompare’s Elf has this handy little gadget called the Knee Defender; use it correctly, and the guy in front of you can’t lower his seat, which means his seat won’t crash into your knees. Elf gave it a whirl, and by golly, it worked! Only problem is, that was Grumpy Santa seated in front of him, and he was not amused. Neither was the flight attendant. I’m sorry, but how rude does a person have to be to even think that it’s OK to use that?! Who came up with this? To think that you can prevent the person in front of you from reclining is about the most self-centered thing I’ve ever heard. Sure, here it was all in fun, but really — who would use this?? I sure hope all of the airlines ban this device. To the creators of the “Knee Defender,” you suck.
